Lift Motor Trouble Shooting Tips

  Check that the motor is plugged in.

     Check that the power is on and that any breakers are reset.
     Check that the GFCI is reset.
     Verify power at the outlet with a portable light or voltage tester

  If the motor starts, but trips the GFCI right away.

     Check for a low-voltage problem.
     If an extension cord is being used, then water has likely gotten into the plug and needs to be dried out or
     the cord is undersize for the load. A 14 gauge cord is recommended for 1-100' cord
     and a 12 gauge cord is recommend for distances greater than 100'.
